Welcome to the Virtual Group Consultation Information Page
You may have recently received an invitation from your GP Practice asking if you would like to participate in a new service being offered called virtual group consultations (VGC). Virtual Group consultations are one-to-one appointments carried out via video in a group setting. This allows you to connect with your clinician as if they are in the room with you. Having other people with similar health backgrounds in this appointment allows you to be connected and support each other achieve a common goal.
The clinic lasts around 60 minutes, with 10-15 other patients, meeting together every month for three months. You will have access to resources in between sessions to keep you on track and motivated.
We use Microsoft Teams, an NHS approved secure platform for healthcare consultations, which allows you to fully participate and interact with our healthcare team and other participants via video, audio and chat.
All you need is an internet connected device (tablet/computer/smartphone) that has a camera and microphone and a quiet space
